Black Isle, 2 May

Another easy day, with a drive around the Black Isle. Drumsmittal School is on the southern tip of Black Isle (which is actually a peninsula) and surrounded by idyllic countryside.

We headed out to Cromarty, on the north coast, hoping to see the porpoises that are reputed to play off its shores. Once again, not a sign of wildlife, but some lovely vistas.

Back at Drumsmittal, we dined on whatever was left in the refrigerator, as we had a two-day drive down to the south of England, and apart from some fruit and cheese that we could pack in our insulated lunch bag, we would not be carting food. All the laundry was dry and ready to be packed for the journey.
